A coude tip has a slight curve, which can help guide the catheter past blockages in the urethra. This catheter has a hydrogel coating, which helps create a smoother surface during insertion and removal. The coating is designed to absorb fluid and form a slick layer between the catheter and the urethra, reducing friction during use. Once inserted, the 5 cc balloon helps keep the catheter positioned in the bladder for continuous drainage. The 2-way design separates urine drainage from balloon inflation, so the catheter can drain properly while the balloon stays in place.
