It is also ideal for medial or lateral rotations of the lower extremities and unwanted hip positioning and planter flexion contractures (achilles' contractures). This cradle is made of a soft nylon that is cool to the touch as it soothes irritated skin. It has an antibacterial filling that creates a soft "cradle" to alleviate pressure to the heels and malleoli without changing blood flow. The plastic support keeps the foot at a 90 degree angle while in bed. The pocket of beads that runs through the center of the leg piece helps to enhance blood circulation. Velcro closure.
