The height adjusts in 1/2" increments and it has dual column extension legs which means that each leg can be adjusted as needed. If the tub is higher than the floor, the legs can be independently adjusted. The tub transfer bench is designed to be flexible so it can work in different types of bathtubs. The assembly of the back, legs, and arm are tool-free and the bench has a weight capacity of 400 lbs. The A-frame construction makes the tub transfer bench stable. The transfer bench is not padded.
